Shaping Humanity's Cognitive Future

Wix new photo-web.jpg

J.L. Mee is a leading innovator in the emerging field of human cognitive enhancement.  As a futurist, his cognitive economics theory helps progressive leaders understand the macroeconomic and technology trends which are shaping this nascent trillion dollar industry.

As an inventor, his cognitive neuroengineering technology provides a powerful and versatile platform for leveraging genome editing techniques to improve mental health, acuity and cognition.

Change often comes from mavericks who think outside the box and work outside the system.  The Wright Brothers were bicycle builders.  Henry Ford was a farmer's son.  James Watt was an instrument maker.  The greatest architect of the early Renaissance, Filippo Brunelleschi, was a jeweler.  William Boeing was a lumber company executive.  Michael Faraday was a bookbinder.  Tesla was a draftsman. Edison was a telegraph operator.  Genentech founder Bob Swanson had no formal training in biology.  The list goes on.  All of these men changed history with dynamic innovations which came from outside the established channels of thought.

Futurist

The Genetic Age dawning today will experience a power growth curve similar to the Information Age.  Semiconductors changed the world, and forward-thinking families who took early positions in the computer industry were lifted into eminence.

Genetic engineering is the next frontier.  New technologies are being developed to apply the power of genetic engineering to improving mental health and cognition.  The Cognitive Economics market intelligence report helps visionary leaders understand how these new technologies can be leveraged to enrich humanity's cognitive capital. Times like this of great transition are often rife with opportunity, as genomic engineering will eventually become one of the world’s largest industries.

Cognitive competency meets crucial needs in our society. To thrive in this century of global competition, American entrepreneurs require more innovation, more creative solutions, and more exceptional thinking.  Generation Z in particular needs a mental edge and expanded human value skills such as imagination and creativity to stay ahead of competition for jobs from robotics, A.I. and China.  Genetic upgrades can deliver the cognitive resources for meeting these needs.

Success in today’s world requires bold, decisive action based on keen insights into revolutionary trends.  Forward-thinking leaders can be on the winning side of change by becoming early adopters and innovators who turn potential into opportunity.

"The world today is shifting into an innovation economy where cognitive capital is the prime currency.

In the 21st Century, the ability to marshal this precious resource for creative problem solving will determine the economic mobility of individuals and the wealth of nations."

– J.L. Mee

Inventor

J.L. Mee holds multiple patents pending on genetic engineering methods for enhancing human cognition.  These discoveries form the enabling technology for expanding human cognitive capital to meet the challenges of the 21st Century; boosting mental health, attention, focus, creativity, memory and mental acuity.

With co-inventor Dr. Dean Radin, Mr. Mee has developed a revolutionary new dynamic delivery platform systems architecture for precisely transporting gene therapies to any localized brain region.  This discovery can be applied to alleviate neurological conditions by targeting specific brain areas.

● Cognitive enrichment:  Dynamic delivery can also be used to improve memory, reverse cognitive decline, decrease inattention, reduce mind-wandering, lower craving, sharpen mental focus, increase concentration, and foster emotional balance.

● Platform technology:  The Mee-Radin patent for dynamic delivery architecture is a foundational science breakthrough.  Due to its breadth of application, this technology can form the bedrock for a cognitive treatment and enhancement ecosystem which can have far-reaching effects on human mental health, cognitive capacity and overall well-being.

● Neurological disorders:  Dynamic delivery will enable dozens of clinical applications for addressing a wide spectrum of neurological conditions without the side effects of pharmaceuticals.  Treatable conditions include stress, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention deficit disorder (ADD), mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and memory issues. These disorders typically involve imbalances in various brain regions, and their behavioral and cognitive effects can be mitigated by normalizing the unbalanced areas.

Mr. Mee’s ability to project the trajectory of new technologies stems from his expertise as a seasoned creator, observer and forecaster of technology trends, which he acquired while managing long range product strategy for a Fortune 500 global technology company.

His rare, high-level industry perspective provides penetrating insights into the incipient genetic engineering revolution.

Architect

The technology these inventions introduce is grounded in Mr. Mee's deep and pragmatic understanding of engineering.  John L. Mee is a senior research and development executive with extensive experience transforming new technologies into commercially successful products.  One of the early architects of the Information Age, Mr. Mee worked at the highest echelons in the computer industry, directing R&D programs involving thousands of engineers which produced new computer systems hardware designs.  He had management responsibility for evolving large computer architecture into the massive, microprocessor-driven parallelism at the heart of today’s machines.

Mr. Mee rose to prominence in the corridors of power of a Fortune 500 global technology company with a million square feet of manufacturing space and 25,000 people.  He had P&L management responsibility for major computer systems R&D programs for Honeywell, where he secured $400 million in investment funding and managed 20 advanced R&D programs. These programs resulted in $5 billion worth of large systems computer products, including central processors, I/O channels, controllers and data storage devices; altogether improving computer price/performance 600%.
